CNC Texture
A Computer Numerical Control machine or CNC is essentially a router controlled by a computer.  This allows the router to cut designs quickly, efficiently.  Almost anything that can be drafted on a computer can be cut and/or carved by a CNC machine.  Although wood is most often an obvious material choice, soft metals, plastics, and sign foams can be cut as well.

How can you benefit from a CNC service
?
  • Due to the speed and accuracy of CNC Machines the biggest benefit to utilizing CNC services is that of a time savings. A process of cutting an arch that may typically consume an hour or so of your project can take just minutes on a CNC machine.
  • Special effects such as texturing can also be archived in a fraction of the time it may take by completing the same process by hand.
  • Personalization can be added to most any project to increase the value.  A blanket chest with a loved ones initials brings much more value than a blank chest.
  • The ability to "nest" cutting from sheet goods ensures maximum yield  from all materials.
  • Manufacturers who need specialty parts that they cannot produce in house can utilize CNC Services to help eliminate the capital required for new equipment that may not be used after their project has been completed
  • Occasionally we all have large tabletops, glue-ups or even just boards that are too wide for our jointer which are too big to flatten practically by hand or maybe even by machine.  Here at R Jones Woodworks we can flatten projects as large as 48"x96"x6".
  • Whether you need 1  piece or a 1000  we can help you develop  your prototype and bring it to production.
